Inspiration is Inspiring

Out of all the animals in the kingdom, I would chose to be a lion. Not only does my hair match its mane, but my personality mirrors it as well. I resemble a lion in more ways than possible, beginning with my boldness and will to be outgoing. Similar to a lion, I can step up and take initiative and be that one person who goes out to meet a person or act on something, the things others wouldn't. Also, a lion and I share the same quality of compassion and putting others first. As a lion would step before a cub or fellow lion, I would pull the same deal with a close friend and or family member. Whether it is simply a minor comment, or a full blown physical act, I would have myself intervene within moments. Another characteristic I share with the lion is our love for play and activity. I have the constant need to be outside and running around, just as a lion in the endless long grasses of their habitats. All in all I would choose to become a lion because it is the animal that most resembles me as a human.

There are many people out there who are inspirational to all and some who only inspire some. I am one of those who looks up to the people who are maybe hiding a little or who aren't straight up out there. One person who inspires me is my half-sister. We may not be directly related by blood, but very much so by heart. Samantha chose to drop out of high school and not return. After a little while, she moved to New York and joined a program called City Year consisting of teaching children, and I could tell just when she talked about it, how she had changed and seen a new perspective. She continued after that choosing to do something she loved which was baking. Shortly thereafter, she took her General Equivalency Diploma test and passed. Just seeing where she started and still knowing that she completed her goal inspires me that there is no end, and that giving up is never an option. Another inspirational person in my eyes is Walt Disney. He started out as any other person and decided to join a newspaper, and later was then fired because "he lacked imagination and had no good ideas." Even after that he continued to start up small businesses and each failed, resulting him in bankruptcy and failure. Walt Disney was told no, he wasn't good enough, and had pure evidence of constant decline and what looked like it would be collapse. He pushed through it all, he had the perseverance, and it showed. If anyone now a days heard what his story was, not previously knowing it, they would be astonished because of his numerous and world widely famous accomplishments. He inspires me in a way that has me push away denial and see that its not about who is going to let me its about who is going to stop me, and then telling them they're wrong. Finally, another person who inspires me is not one person at all. It is a mind set. Its the people who have set in their mind- I am not my first priority, others are my first priority. People who help others, do the right thing when no one is looking, and find pleasure and happiness when it is glistening in someone else's eyes.

Everyone is inspired by someone, and everyone is someones inspiration. You just have to find them.
